From Locker Room to Legacy — One Phase at a Time

The 8-Week Locker Room to Legacy framework helps student-athletes move from emotion to intention, from talent to discipline, and from highlights to true legacy. Each week blends discussion topics, real conversations, and a Scripture focus that athletes can carry into practice, the classroom, and home.

Phase 1 builds the foundation. Phase 2 applies pressure, adversity, and decision-making — always coming back to three words: Faith. Family. Finish.

Phase 1 • Weeks 1–4
Foundation: Faith, Identity, and Habits

These four weeks set the tone: who you are, Who you belong to, and how you show up when no one is watching. Perfect for early-season or start-of-semester.

Week 1
Identity: Who Am I, Really?
Separating performance from identity. Athlete, student, son/daughter — and child of God.
Verse
Psalm 139:14 — “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Week 2
Discipline: Doing the Little Things Right
Practice habits, classroom habits, faith habits. What you repeat, you become.
Verse
Colossians 3:23 — “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart…”
Week 3
Faith Under Pressure
What do you lean on when the game is on the line, or life doesn’t go your way?
Verse
Joshua 1:9 — “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you.”
Week 4
Family & Locker Room Culture
Respect, language, body language, and how we treat teammates, parents, and coaches.
Verse
Romans 12:10 — “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
Phase 2 • Weeks 5–8
Application: Adversity, Decisions, and Legacy

Phase 2 leans into real life: playing time, injury, NIL pressure, social media, and decisions that can build or break a legacy. Designed for honest, practical conversation.

Week 5
Adversity & Bounce Back
Handling losses, mistakes, and disappointment — without quitting on yourself or your team.
Verse
James 1:2–3 — “Consider it pure joy… because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
Week 6
Leadership: Voice, Example, and Influence
Captains and non-captains: how every athlete leads by attitude, effort, and example.
Verse
1 Timothy 4:12 — “Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
Week 7
NIL, Platform & Stewardship
Name, Image, Likeness — and Legacy. Who are you becoming as doors begin to open?
Verse
Luke 12:48 — “To whom much is given, much will be required.”
Week 8
Finish & Legacy
What do you want people to remember about you when the season ends — and when the sport ends?
Verse
2 Timothy 4:7 — “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
